Past Workshops
The NMBAQC committee has organised, or collaborated in, a number of workshops with tuition from recognised experts in different fields. Participants have gained hands-on experience of various field and laboratory procedures and in depth workshops focusing on particular problematical taxonomic groups. The workshops have produced a wide range of up-to-date guides and taxonomic keys, most of which are not yet available in published literature.

- NMBAQC Expert's Taxonomic Workshop at Dove Marine Laboratory, Cullercoats, November 2014. Included Problem Taxa: Interstitial opisthobranchs, fabricids and sabellids.

- NMBAQC Beginners Invertebrate Taxonomic Workshop, November 2009, Unicomarine Laboratory Letchworth. Included an introduction to key features and terminology used for many Invertebrate Phyla, with practical sessions focusing on the Phyla: Annelida, Mollusca, Crustacea and Echinodermata.

- NMBAQC Beginners Invertebrate Taxonomic Workshop, November 2007, Unicomarine, Letchworth. Included Problem Taxa: Polychaeta, Oligochaeta and Echinodermata. Also covered sample processing techniques and general phyla recognition.
